STAR search and rescue train all of its volunteers to at least basic first aid level.
STAR have placed forward to IFRA a proposal for all the teams to utilise our CASCARE course as a national standard. in april 2010 the course was recognised and is now an IFRA approved course.
our team members are skilled at providing basic and intermediate casualty care including the use of defibrilators and medical gases.
the team undertakes regular cascare and evacuation training.
the team always responds with a cascare back pack, mibbs stretcher and spinal imobilisation kit, wether to an incident or training session.
