due to the teams role in specialist searchesand rescues we required some specialist equipment to do this safely and effectively.

on display is our underwater search camera, aqua scope and our night vision scope and thermal scanner.

underwater search camera:- the high tech kit, can operate in a variety of locations including water, down sewers, drains or other locations where it may be to dangerous to place personell to check if items or persons are there.

the camera has built in led lighting to operate in low ligh conditions and can operate to a depth of 65 feet, we are currently looking to extend this range. as can be seen the equipment is fully transportable in its own case and operates from either battery or mains.

an aditional facility of the unit is we can connect a vcr or dvd recorder and record footage for evidence or viewing at a later date.

aqua scope:- low tech kit, simply place the scope into the water and it magnifies, very good for rapid response sitiuations but has a limited capacity as you need to be over the object to see it, also it does not have a light source. a very valuable piece of equipment. 

thermal scanner and night vision scope:- the team is always looking to employ technology in its work to enable a safe quick outcome.

the thermal scanner is effective from 2 - 900 feet and has 2 laser guides.

the night vision scope operates under low light/ fog/smoke conditions and alows the team to search  using infra red ilumination, this is the same technology in use by the military pilots.
